Genuity’s long-term ownership of Millmerran Power Station, backed by two decades of experience in the National Electricity Market, empowers our retail team to provide smart solutions that suit our individual customers’ energy needs.
This includes helping businesses achieve their renewable energy targets by packaging our firming capability with renewable offtake agreements. We also offer GreenPower-accredited renewable electricity by purchasing and surrendering Large-scale Generation Certificates to help customers achieve sustainability goals and reduce Scope 2 emissions.
As a company, we are committed to being part of Queensland’s long-term energy transition. Millmerran Power Station is one of the lowest greenhouse gas emitting coal generators in Australia, and one of the youngest and most cost-efficient in the country. We are also exploring the potential to build a wind farm and battery energy and storage system on-site to expand our capacity to sustainably power Queensland for generations.
Genuity Retail does not sell electricity to small businesses or residential households. We have provided the below documents to meet our regulatory obligations under the National Energy Retail Law and National Energy Retail Rules.
Genuity is a GreenPower provider. Please contact us for a quote to supply GreenPower to your organisation. GreenPower is a trusted, easy way to invest in government-accredited renewable energy sources. Customers can purchase the equivalent amount of Large-scale Generation Certificates for part or all of their grid-supplied electricity from GreenPower-accredited Australian generators such as wind, solar, mini-hydro and bioenergy.
Genuity is a member of the Energy Users Association of Australia (EUAA), which helps companies navigate energy market uncertainty and advocates for better outcomes for energy users. Our membership ensures our team is well-informed about industry issues that impact large energy consumers, which helps us customise our products and services.
